Make Your first pot

Throwing Part One our most popular beginners class is a detailed foundation of throwing basics. We will guide you to centre the clay and to follow a simple system for success.

We have been teaching, here in beautiful Ettington Park, for 9 years now and have perfected this system. Our members are the proof this system works wonders, they all started with Part One and are now making, bottles, bowls, lidded pots and teapots!

Throwing Part One - Centring and making a basic pot with three clear steps then applying colour.

Throwing Part Two - Increasing control and achieving more height.

Throwing Part Three - Making shapes that match and getting good quality pots.

G&T - Turning - Learn how to turn (trim) your pots to perfection

G&T - Glazing - Glazing basics, preparation, safety and application

From here we can offer you studio time to practice without paying for a teacher and look at a place on our memberships.

Eleven and a half hours and £349

It s a lot quicker and cheap than a university course but absolutely the same standard!
