Fancy a pottery holiday?

Potter’s Residency at The Ceramics Space

Our pottery residencies are the perfect immersion for anyone stuffing from clay addiction; think of it as a clay holiday for one!

An opportunity for students or makers to work on their own independent ceramic projects in a purpose built studio space with our expert help, guidance and support.

This is great because you could arrange a whole weekend or even week of potting or a series of days to suit. Pottery lovers at any level will benefit because of the option of additional support on offer.

Who is it for?

Anyone enthusiastic about clay who has had some basic experience is welcome to put forth a project proposal.

For example:

You have completed a beginners throwing with us, and want to progress quickly? Spend a long weekend here, starting each day with an hour of private tuition.

Or

Recently we had artist Elizabeth Murton join us to work on her loom weights project which was sponsored by the Arts Council.

We will tailor the residency to your level and needs.

What happens?

You get in touch with an idea and potential dates. We will ask you some questions about the idea and what support you feel you will need. We will meet to discuss, finalize dates and details.

An induction will fully orient you to the space and facilities and what is required of you as a resident.

You will enjoy use of our residency space with ample storage for your clay work for the duration of the project. Use of materials, or advice about choosing new materials, will be delivered on your first tutorial if you decide you need one.

You come every day and have a lovely time working peacefully with clay in beautiful surroundings.

For more information and prices please get in touch with a brief description of your idea through our contact page.
